With Mondo to a demonstrative project: Solar 2002
Motivation A few years ago the idea occurred to Mondo to design and build a 'solar house'. A solar house that even functions in a climate with not too much sunshine, the Belgian climate.. Which type of house would we choose: a renovation project or a newly built house? Not many houses are suitable for renovation because they do not meet the basic conditions like e.g. insulation In order to turn a house into a ‘solar house’, everything has to be attuned accordingly. The project Solar 2002 was executed in a house in which the owner had been considering alternative energy conversion in mind for longer time.
